November 30th, 2010 – The Final Moves

Today’s photo was taken on the same trip as yesterday’s shot. A few friends and I headed up to Almscliff, a fantastic rocky outcrop situated atop a gentle hill to the north of Leeds. For once, the British weather treated us well, with continuous sunshine all day. In today’s shot we see Chris reaching the final moves on a moderately difficult climb, the last of the day.

I’ve tried to achieve a tilt-shift effect with this photo – and I’m pretty happy with the results. As I don’t yet own a proper DSLR, let alone a tilt-shift lens, this affect has been generated entirely in post-production.

Dude, was this the route that made chambers look like a newborn coming out of the womb at the top?
