On The Way to The Summit

Today’s photo was taken on a recent family holiday in Tenerife. On the drive from the coast to the fantastic Teide volcano you pass through these beautiful pine woods, with spectacular vistas such as this.

July 9th, 2011 – Windmill II

Another Norfolk Windmill photo for today. There’s something that draws me to mills, both water and wind, but I’ve never been able to quite put my finger on why. I’d love to live in one someday.

July 9th, 2011 – Balloon & Clouds

An archive shot for you today from a lovely evening spent on Beeley moor. The sunset and clouds on this evening were fantastic – and just as they peaked this hot air balloon rolled into shot – perfect! HDRs of moving objects are tricky – and I’m not completely happy with the ghosting around the balloon as a result of it’s movement between the frames that make up the HDR.

July 8th, 2011 – Dusk on the Broads

Yet another shot from the Norfolk Broads. Taken on the way back to the boat from the pub between heavy rain shows, this photo was tricky to get and taken in very low light. I’m pretty pleased with the result!

July 6th, 2011 – The Boathouse

Another shot from Norfolk for today. This little boathouse was near our mooring one night – I just had to go out and shoot it.

July 3rd, 2011 – Barley & Clouds

Another photo from Norfolk for today – I love the cereal crops grown in this part of the country – it’s such a dramatically different landscape to the Peak District I grew up in.

This photo has been quite heavily post-processed – and I really like the result.

July 2nd, 2011 – The Windmill

Taken on holiday on the Norfolk Broads I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to photograph this windmill. Loads of rain on the day I took this – I love the clouds!
