    Is that a branch reaching out over the lake? It turns an
    ordinary (if interestingly lit) shot into something much more
    fascinating. I like the Loch Ness-esque serpentine nature of the
    shape. NB: Hillip you should send the link for this blog to my Dad.

      Indeed it is a branch. I picked this shot for just this reason – I love the way the form of the tree echoes the water.

      Hope you’re enjoying the photos – I’ve just bought a Canon 550D so expect lots of new shots!
